The focus is on developing foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.Grade 1-2: Introduction to Spanish- Basic vocabulary: colors, numbers, greetings, and simple phrases.

- Emphasis on listening and speaking through games and activities.
Grade 3-5: Building Foundations- Expanding vocabulary and introducing simple grammar concepts.
- Encouraging short conversations and responses.
- Cultural exploration through holidays, food, and music from Spanish-speaking countries.
Grade 6-8: Intermediate Skills Development- Increasing complexity in vocabulary and grammar (verb conjugation, sentence structure).

Spanish I for High School Credit:Objective:
Spanish I provides eighth grade students with a comprehensive introduction to the Spanish language, emphasizing communication skills and cultural awareness. This course prepares students for higher levels of Spanish and is a high school credit course.Course Content:- Vocabulary and Grammar:
- Focus on essential vocabulary related to everyday life and common situations.
- Introduction to fundamental grammar concepts, including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and sentence structure.
- Communication Skills:
- Development of speaking and listening skills through dialogues, role-plays, and interactive activities.
- Reading and writing exercises to build comprehension and composition abilities.
- Cultural Understanding:
- Exploration of diverse cultures and traditions within the Spanish-speaking world.
- Use of multimedia resources to enhance cultural learning, including films, music, and literature.
Assessment:
